# FocusGo Privacy Policy Canonical: https://www.xunova.tech/en/focusgo/privacy/ Language: en Read FocusGo's privacy policy covering local records, parent-initiated sharing, optional observation, support feedback, retention, and website analytics. ## Privacy Policy · Updated October 7, 2026 How FocusGo handles local activity records, deliberate sharing, optional camera observation, and separate support feedback. ## What the app does - FocusGo records time spent on activities you choose, including subjects, meals and breaks. It does not assess attention, academic ability or health. There is no account, advertising, in-app purchase or analytics SDK. Optional support feedback is separate from your local activity records. - Where the observation experiment is available, the camera is accessed only after you explicitly start it in the foreground. Normal observation displays a live preview, processes frames on device and immediately discards them. If you separately start frame diagnostics, the app temporarily caches up to ten reduced frames and their detection data on the device for inspection, deliberate sharing or deletion; nothing is uploaded automatically. There is no microphone recording, location access or monitoring of other apps. ## Local records and backups - Activity names, time segments, observations, plans and preferences stay in local app data. The developer does not receive these records or usage data automatically. iPhone, iPad and Mac keep independent records and do not sync through FocusGo. Your operating system may include app data in backups you enable; your system or backup provider manages those backups. ## Parent-initiated sharing - A parent interaction check protects system report sharing and external support links. The app previews the report, including activities, durations and saved notes, before you choose a system sharing destination. That destination handles the information under its own policy. The interaction check is not identity verification or a certification of parental consent. Please keep children's sensitive information out of notes and support messages. ## Optional in-app feedback and replies - When Feedback & replies is available in Settings, a parent can open it without signing in. Submission sends the subject, message, category, optional email and installation metadata—app ID, version, build, platform, OS version and language—to XUNOVA's shared feedback service hosted on Microsoft Azure. It never automatically attaches activity records, notes, plans, business account information, logs, photos, audio or location. Reading a reply or continuing the conversation contacts that service. Opening the inbox alone reads local references, not all remote conversations. - Supported iPhones and iPads use Apple's App Attest to verify the app, not your identity, email ownership or the truth of a message. The service stores a verification public key and counter; unsupported devices, including Mac, are marked unverified. Every conversation has an independent random access credential stored in this device's Keychain; the service stores its digest. This is not an account or cross-device synchronization. Access after changing devices or reinstalling is not guaranteed. Unsubmitted drafts stay only in memory and are not automatically uploaded or guaranteed after restarting. - Support content and an optional email may be linked to you. They are used to respond to support requests, not tracking, marketing or advertising. Conversations remain until an administrator deletes them; marking one resolved does not delete it. Ask a parent to contact info@xunova.tech for access, correction or deletion, providing enough conversation information to locate it. Deletion removes support text and email; a content-free request marker and verification public key/counter can remain for security. Removing local app data does not delete server-side feedback. Replies must be checked on the original device; no automatic email or push is sent. ## Notifications, sound and local diagnostics - Sounds can be muted. Optional return reminders are off by default, require notification permission and use local notifications; they cannot identify another app or distinguish a game from locking the screen. FocusGo does not upload notification or permission choices. - Support diagnostics contain only operation names, public app ID, route templates, random correlation IDs, status, duration, counts and finite error categories. They exclude message bodies, emails, credentials, signatures and full conversation/key identifiers. These diagnostics are not uploaded; local rolling cache files are bounded to two 64 KiB files and can be removed by system cache cleanup or deletion of app data. ## Local retention and deletion - Activity records remain until local app data is removed. Camera diagnostic frames remain in the local cache until you delete them, the operating system clears the cache, or app data is removed; a new diagnostic set does not silently replace the previous set. - Deleting the app on iPhone/iPad removes local app data, while offloading may retain it. Moving the Mac app to the Trash may leave its container. Contact support for removal guidance and back up records first if needed. Manage system backup copies separately. These actions do not request deletion of support conversations or guarantee deletion of Keychain credentials. ## Website and email support - The XUNOVA website uses Microsoft Clarity for website visits and interactions. Website analytics are separate from FocusGo's local activity records; the app's lack of an analytics SDK does not mean the website avoids visit analytics or identifiers. Hosting and feedback infrastructure may process IP addresses, requested URLs and browser information for delivery and security. No claim of zero platform log retention is made. - When a parent emails info@xunova.tech, the email provider processes the voluntarily supplied message and address to answer the request and meet necessary obligations. Please avoid children's sensitive information.
