Cinavo Privacy Policy

Effective October 17, 2026; updated October 18, 2026. How Cinavo handles your media, local preferences, diagnostics and support requests.

1. Developer and current app

Cinavo is provided by Hangzhou Xulian Information Technology Co., Ltd. (XUNOVA). The current Cinavo app does not require a Cinavo account and does not send product-usage analytics or advertising events to the developer. This policy describes Cinavo, not the separate Haibao apps.

2. Media and subtitles

Cinavo processes your selected media and subtitles on your device for playback, speech recognition and translation. Your media, recognized speech and subtitle translations are not uploaded to a developer-operated cloud AI service. On iPhone and iPad, subtitle-language suggestions may use device language preferences, including the languages of enabled keyboards. This is processed locally and does not read what you type; keyboard-language information and the suggested language are not uploaded or included in feedback.

Imported files, playback positions, source settings and preferences are held locally. Cinavo accesses only the files, folders and network sources you select. System backups you enable may include app data and are managed by your operating system or backup provider.

3. Network connections

The app may connect to resource providers to prepare subtitles, including some automatic background downloads. Apple provides the system translation service and related language resources. These providers may receive your IP address and connection information needed for delivery and security, under their own privacy policies. On-device processing does not mean that the app never connects to the internet.

Network media connects to the server you configure, using the account details you provide. Those details are held in protected storage on your device. Your server operator controls its own content, storage and access records.

Wi-Fi receiving uses an unencrypted local connection without access verification. Any device that can reach the transfer page can upload files, so use only a trusted network. Keep Cinavo in the foreground while transferring; receiving suspends when the app goes into the background.

4. Local diagnostics

Cinavo keeps local diagnostic logs to help investigate app problems. These logs stay on your device: opening Settings does not upload them, and feedback does not automatically attach them. Logs are not used as a cloud media backup.

5. Voluntary in-app feedback

If you choose to use Feedback in Settings, the message and any follow-up you send, an optional email address, basic app and system diagnostics, and necessary security-verification information are used to handle your request, provide replies and prevent abuse. Basic diagnostics include app and operating-system versions, platform and language/region. Feedback does not automatically attach your media, subtitles, playback history or local logs.

Feedback does not require a Cinavo account. The app keeps access information locally so you can check replies on the same device; cross-device recovery is not provided. Do not include passwords or private media in the text you send.

Our support service uses Microsoft Azure hosting. The service and its hosting provider may process your IP address and connection information for delivery and security. This support processing is separate from product-usage analytics.

6. Retention and removal

Local imports remain until you remove them or remove the app's data. Removing a Mac folder reference does not delete the original folder. Manage network content and system backups separately. Removing the app may not remove all locally protected access information or provider-managed backups.

Support conversations are kept until deleted by authorized staff; there is no fixed automatic deletion period. Removing the app does not automatically delete submitted feedback. Contact info@xunova.tech with your conversation information to request access, correction or deletion. Deleted feedback content and contact details are removed, while necessary security records may be retained separately.

7. Website and voluntary contact

The XUNOVA website uses Microsoft Clarity for website visits and interactions. That website analytics is separate from the Cinavo app. Hosting and email providers may process IP addresses and information needed for delivery and security.

If you email info@xunova.tech, your email address and the information you choose to send are used to respond to your request. Do not include NAS passwords or private media. For other privacy questions, contact info@xunova.tech.
