Haibao follows a local-first and data-minimization approach. Core audio/video recognition, subtitle generation, and translation are primarily processed on the user's device.

Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to Haibao / Haibao - AI Video Player and related website services provided by Hangzhou Xulian Information Technology Co., Ltd., including the official website, help center, privacy policy, terms of service, product support, issue feedback, and rights-holder contact channels.

Local Media and Audio Processing

When you use Haibao to play local video or audio files, or use real-time subtitles, translation, or interpretation features, the app may process media data, audio segments, speech recognition results, subtitles, translations, playback progress, and local settings on your device. We do not upload your local media files, audio content, transcript text, subtitle text, or translated text to cloud AI services.

Product Analytics and Stability Data

To understand feature usage, diagnose errors, improve stability, and enhance the product experience, Haibao may collect minimized analytics data such as app version, system version, language settings, feature usage events, error categories, and anonymous or pseudonymous installation identifiers. Analytics data does not include local media content, microphone recordings, system audio, transcripts, subtitles, translations, full file paths, full file names, or full private playback URLs.

System Permissions

• File access: used to play local files actively selected by the user or save related results.
• Microphone: used for live interpretation, voice input, or voice note features.
• Screen recording or system audio capture: used for user-initiated system-audio transcription and translation scenarios.
• Network access: used for the website, policy pages, user-provided live streams, update checks, model downloads, and minimized analytics.
